22 Sep Summer Roadtrip to Italy
This summer my girlfriend and me did a litte roadtrip along the Sardinian east-coast. We started our trip in Munich, 700 km away from Livorno (Italy) where our ferry set off. Because the ferry drove throughout the night, and we booked a little cabine on board, we were able to sleep a litte to be superfit when we arrived early in the morning at Olbia (Sardinia)….
After checking in in our AirB&B appartment, we directly went to the beach (Porto Istana) with our dear freinds Jacky&Jonny.
As we also spent our second day with our friends on the beach (La Cinta), it was then time to say goodbye because we´ve already booked our next appartment in Bari Sardo, which is located about 200km down in the south from Olbia.
So we spend the following two days at Bari Sardo, which also has to offer beautiful beaches (Torre di Bari,Spiagga di Cea). We also did a little hike there, take a look at the wonderful view we had.
Dorgali! That was the name of our next stops town. Ever heard of Cala Goloritze, Cala Luna or Cala Biriola? You need to visit these beaches when you´re on Sardinia. We went there by a rental boat, and what should i say, it was just amazing.
The next night we spent at a little hotel next to Orosei. Take a look at the amazing beach we discovered there (Posada). Doesn´t it look a little like Florida?
On our 8th day we explored the region of Budoni. We also had a pretty cool AirB&B appartment with a view on the ocean.
Before going back to the mainland of Italy, we visited the famous Costa Smeralda of Sardinia. The beaches in this region are just incredible. We also had the chance to go to Porto Cervo, probably the best known city of Sardinia, beacause of all the famous people that go on vacation there. It.s absoluetly worth a visit!
Arriving early morning in Livorno after a 8 hour ferry-ride we made a little excursion to the wonderful city of Pisa and its world-famous tower the „Leaning Tower of Pisa“.
After we spent a couple of hours at Pisa, we decided to book a hotel at lake Garda in Italy, where we spent our last night before driving home to munich again.
All in all we had a beautiful vacation through Sardinia/Italy. We will definitely come back! Hope to see you there soon!
